faster and faster every time that I see him (which is pretty often)!  It continually amazes me how much he changes in just a matter of weeks, even days!!  Full of character and personality even since he was tiny, it just gets more entertaining as he gets bigger.  He let me go crazy with his hair and then we bundled him up to have some fun taking pictures. :)   We started in the front yard, then we went in the garage where Noah was super excited to take a picture with Uncle Brad in the “red truck” as Noah says.  Then we went down to the park in the wagon and saw some horses.  I couldn’t believe how quickly the horses came over to check Brad and Noah out.  It made for a fun vintage shot!!

Here’s……..Noah!!

This could be my new favorite age to photograph!!  I didn’t have to stress as much about him toppling over when I sat him up (compared to the 6 mo. age) and he was just so happy during the entire session.

Though I do enjoy studio, natural outdoor light is my favorite so I am soooo lookin’ forward to some warmer weather.  Having the day off from my work, I was excited to hear that it was going to be around 60 degrees today.  Unfortunately, the wind has put a damper in my plans for spending the entire day outside.  So here I am, blogging!! :)

I have an upcoming newborn session in a few weeks that I am very excited about.  One of my closest friends (that I took maternity pictures for a few weeks back) is having a C-section in a few days and I have the opportunity to do the newborn pictures at about 8 days old.  I’m going to work on using natural light and playing with a few new props!!  Wish me luck!!

Okay, I’m blabbering on.  Here’s Baby “M.”

I felt very honored to take pictures for these two friends (and their children).  One of them has been fighting a battle with cancer.  She seemed like such a strong person, it was a very humbling experience for me.

Thank you for asking me, it was an honor.

Thanks to everyone who participated in my poll (in the post below).  It was so interesting seeing where everyone checks in from!! :)

Talk about adorable!!!  At just 7 weeks, baby Kaydence was just so chunky and 100% precious.  She was so mellow during the entire session and I just couldn’t get en0ugh of her.  Her big brother kept me laughing through most of the session.  He was full of questions: Do you have kids?  Where is your husband?  Do you have a basement?  Where are all the toys?……HAHA, that is such a fun age!!

We had a great time!!

This is one of my closest friends, we grew up together like family!!  Growing up, we were both devastated when we found out we were only friends, not cousins.  HAHA.  Oh the stories we could tell…..

Now I have had the pleasure of taking maternity pictures for her TWICE!!  Yep, this is baby number 2 and she just couldn’t be any more beautiful!!

and oh so cute!!  Meet Ben, he was so much fun.  He couldn’t stop jumping around, not sure if he was having that much fun too or if he was just trying to stay warm.   HAHA, love it!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!  I’m trying to get myself pumped up mentally to stay up past 12:00 for New Years now.  I’m not much of a night owl so we’ll see how this goes.  Seems like I’m going to bed earlier and earlier every year. :)

to share pictures from this photo session!!  These 3 were a blast, taking pictures of sisters is always fun.  I just give them a vague idea or two and let them run with it.  The result, 3 different interpretations that all blend into one fun shot!!  Here are a few of my faves…..

Thanks girls, hope mom and dad liked ‘em!!

4 years, 2 years, and 5 months, Dad & Mom definitely have their hands full!   Aren’t they just the most adorable family though and ohhhhhh…..so much fun too.  I was expecting it to be much more difficult trying to get 3 children so young to cooperate but everything went so smoothly, LOVE IT!!  This family was just the sweetest, thank you guys so much!

Oh goodness…this little cutie, Dawson, was so much fun!!!  She was just jabbering away during most of the session, it was too stinkin’ cute!!  I was so so excited to try out a few of my new props as well, that tutu has got to be my favorite thing now. :)   6 months is just such a fun age!!

Mom and Dad are both basketball players so she brought along the little basketball which couldn’t have been any cuter with her matching outfit!!  Love it!!
Enjoy!!

Once a year I convince Brad to get dressed up so we can take our annual Christmas card pictures.

So we got cleaned up, brought the dogs along, found a good quiet road and set up the tripod.  But about every time we’d get all set to say “cheese”, we’d see a vehicle coming down the road so we’d pack everything up and Brad would pull the pick-up over to the side of the road.  The looks on people’s faces as they drove by, trying to figure out what the heck we were doing, was priceless. :)

We only had take to take a few shots and amazingly, almost every one of them turned out.  Even the dogs were cooperating!!  Gotta love a mini-session like that!!

FYI: I did play around with some new post processing on most of these.  Always fun to try something new!!
